The mission of the Legends Awards Ball is to honor and pay homage to individuals who have an unapologetic public record of contributing substantially to the enhancement of the Philadelphia’s Black LGBT Community through community organizing and building; education and training; and professional and social networking in the areas of health and social services; civic and community service; policy and politics; arts and humanities; business; and/or religion and spirituality.

This event will feature talented Philly artist as well as guest artists from New York City.
SLJ, under the artistic direction of Zane Booker, will perform its second annual theater production, Ebony, Beige and Bronze: The Philadelphia Show The production combines dance, spoken word and film elements to create a powerful tribute to the men of The Philadelphia Dance Company (PHILADANCO). Through this work, SLJ will honor the lives of African -Americans that have been claimed by the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
