"New Beginning" is Philadelphia Black Gay Pride’s (PBGP) 14th Annual Celebration of the LGBTQ community; which includes people of all colors.  We are dedicated to providing a excellent entertainment, education, promoting love and unity, and the overall concept of community growth.

PBGP’s task this year is to take note of all our accomplishments, great ideas, as well as hardships; analyze each area to evolve on them so as to make this pride better than prior years. We have a new leadership team comprised of old and new members that are full of enthusiasm; that humbly understands that we must continue to build upon their direction while construction a new direction.

During these economical times where all organization are facing financial hardships, PBGP has also made some tough decisions to lower costs in order provide the best services possible to all of you and still make April 2013 one of the best Philadelphia Pride Celebrations EVER!

PBGP as an organization has developed some changes not only in programming, but also in facilities and venue sizes. We as an organization ask the LGBTQ community to help us find better ways to help you as a community. Inform us what we can and need to do to serve you better, for we only exist to serve as leaders.  Also we need all the support we can get from all of you not just physically, but also financially. Let us take accountability for ourselves by supporting our events and helping one another so we all grow as a community.  We are willing to take any assistance you are willing to offer.

You are why we continue this journey, you are why we must not stop nor give up, and you are why these next steps will be a success.
