For Philadelphia Black Pride 20th Anniversary Celebration, April 25-28th 2019,  we are asking for submissions from community partners to plan and present workshops, round table discussions, community forums and social events. The objective is to engage our local LGBTQ Black and Brown community members as well as those who will be visiting for Philadelphia Black Pride.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: February 17 , 2019

QUESTION SUBMISSION DEADLINE: January 27, 2019

Submission Requirements

When submitting proposals please including the following details:

  • Information about your initiative.  

  • Outline of your idea for an event, including your target audience, proposed numbers, and ideal location

  • Ideas on how you can promote your event and Philadelphia Black Pride

  • Proposed Budget - include cost breakdown and suggested financial support from Philadelphia Black Pride.  

Selected Criteria

The selection process is competitive as pride is limited by funding, space and scheduling constraints.

  • A proposal which complements and enhances the Philadelphia Black Pride celebration experience

  • Events that adhere to the mission to Philadelphia Black Pride

  • The creativity & innovation of the proposal/idea

  • Experience at presenting in that particular area

  • Resources to promote events and attract an audience
